Step 1: PREPARE WORKPLACE AND DISMEMBER LITTLE MUNNY FRIEND. :D
STEP 2: I painted Jimmy's terribly prepubescent skin on his fat head and stubby arms.
STEP 3: I viewed the artist's original concept art and penciled on the facial features in full chibi Munny style.
STEP 4: I painted Jimmy's wonderfully ugly face on!
Step 5: Not actually a step! Just a close-up on his hideous boy features! How wondrous!
Step 6: I sculpted on the more detailed body work of Jimmy; his collar, Bullworth Academy Vest, white undershirt and added little sneakers for height!
Step 7: Then I cooked (boiled) the bitch to perfection!
Step 8: Once the sculpey and vinyl hardened completely after the hot bath I painted on the base colors of Jimmy's body.
Step 9: And then the details, painted on once his base coat was dried.
Step 10: I figured while I waited for the detail to dry I'd sculpt, boil and paint a little accessory that fits perfectly with Jimmy's character. Here is his famous slingshot, fashioned with working rubber band puller!
Step 11: Last but not least the varnish gloss was applied to all pieces separately to add that nice shiny finish, helping to preserve the color and lifespan of the paint! I also added Jimmy's Bullworth Academy emblem to his sweater vest and cemented it on with more varnish!
Step 12: Put all the pieces together after about 2 days of allowing the varnish to set and there you have it. Jimmy Hopkins is ready to abuse prefects, sexually harass female classmates, beat up the student body and ...well... kiss boys or whatever...
I'm looking into the production of my own custom vinyl toys but until then I think I'll stick with Munnys. I already have my next character planned out but I will not spoil the surprise for you! I'll keep ya posted.
